The Event Supplier and Services Association, ESSA, has been representing Exhibition Contractors since 1913 and at present ESSA represents over 250 UK based companies.

ESSA encourages and develops highly professional standards for their members. Due to its vetting procedures, ESSA is confident these standards will be maintained and all members must meet the Associations Standards of Workmanship, Service, and Business Practice.

The major benefit of appointing a ESSA member to handle exhibition work is the ESSA Bond, which guarantees work in the crucial build up to a show.

In practice, if a Full ESSA Member went into liquidation and work was outstanding, ESSA would either appoint another Member to meet the terms of the contract, or reimburse you for completion of the contract, subject to the limits of the original contract. The Guarantee* applies to all the work done in the United Kingdom and covers the period of seven days prior to the exhibition itself.
